WWE NXT Results: “Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.
Footage is shown from Super Tuesday II when Finn Bálor defeated Adam Cole to win the vacant NXT Championship. We also saw Candice LeRae get into an altercation with Tegan Nox, as well as Rhea Ripley defeating Mercedes Martinez in a Steel Cage Match.
WWE NXT FULL RESULTS:
NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai Def. Shotzi Blackheart
This will be a non-title match.
The bell rings, and they circle the ring. Blackheart goes for a handshake, but Shirai slaps her hand away. They lock up, and Blackheart takes her down. Shirai avoids a big boot, but Blackheart ducks a clothesline. Blackheart slides under another clothesline and howls at the NXT Women’s Champion. Blackheart sidesteps her and grabs the legs, but Shirai kicks her away. Blackheart flips over her, so Shirai does some handsprings. Blackheart takes her down for a one count. Shirai takes her down for a one count. Shirai grabs a crucifix pin, but Blackheart kicks out. Blackheart slams her and executes a jackknife pin, but Shirai transitions into a pin for a two count. Shirai tries to stretch her, but Blackheart gets out and stretches the arms. Shirai tries to get the bottom rope, but can’t reach. Shirai eventually claws over and gets a rope break. Blackheart gives a clean break.
Shirai connects with double knees in the corner. Blackheart looks dazed. Shirai hits an Over The Moon Moonsault that sees her shins connect HARD on Blackheart’s ribs. Shirai picks up the win.
Tommaso Ciampa Def. Desmond Troy
They lock up, and Troy goes for a takedown. Ciampa gets to the ropes before being taken off his feet. Ciampa knees him in the face, takes him down, and applies a deep chin lock. Ciampa gets up and takes him down. Troy comes back with a roll-up for a two count. Troy dropkicks him, but Ciampa bounces back and forearms him down. Ciampa viciously clotheslines him in the corner and stomps away at him. Ciampa hits a catapult into the bottom turnbuckle. Troy’s face hit hard. Ciampa grabs Troy on the apron and hits Willow’s Bell for the win.
Kushida Def. Austin Theory
Kushida walks right up to Theory and hits an enzuigiri that knocks him out of the ring. Theory gets in the ring, and the bell rings to start the match. Kushida takes Theory down and applies a front facelock. Theory scrambles to get away. Theory grabs a front facelock, but Kushida easily gets out. Kushida goes for an arm bar, but Theory gets out. Theory powers him to the corner and clotheslines him down. Theory punches away at him and clubs the back. Theory hits a snap suplex and covers for a one count. Kushida fights back, but Theory takes him down. Theory boots him in the face and goes for a standing moonsault, but Kushida moves. Kushida kicks Theory in the elbow and continues attacking the arm. Kushida takes him down and hits a basement dropkick. Kushida hits a handspring avalanche while Theory was leaning against the ropes. Theory gets out of the ring to recover. Kushida follows him out, but Theory cuts him off. Theory goes to forearm him against the ring post, but he hits the ring post hard when Kushida moves. Kushida then hits an arm breaker on the floor! Kushida gets him in the ring, stomps away at the face, and applies the Hoverboard Lock for the submission.
NXT Tag Team Championship: Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango) (c’s) Def. Imperium (Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel)
Imperium skips their entrance and runs down to brawl with Breezango. Breezango clears them from the ring. The referee restores order quickly.
It’ll be Fandango starting against Fabian Aichner. The bell rings, and Marcel Barthel knocks Tyler Breeze off the apron. Aichner punches Fandango down and hits a scoop slam. Aichner talks trash to him and tags Barthel in. Barthel attacks Fandango and bounces him off the top turnbuckle. Barthel stomps away at him in the corner and backs up. Fandango fights back, but Barthel quickly takes him down. Barthel punches away at him and talks trash to Breeze. Barthel uppercuts Fandango. Fandango fights back, but Barthel hits a jawbreaker. Aichner tags in and chokes Fandango on the ropes. Aichner connects with a back suplex and poses. Aichner kicks Fandango in the head and sends him to the ropes, but Fandango big boots him back. Fandango then knocks Barthel down on the apron. Aichner quickly boots Fandango down for a near fall. Fandango slaps the mat in frustration. Aichner applies a front facelock and tags Barthel in. Barthel rips at Fandango’s face and talks trash. Barthel then rips at Fandango’s ear. Barthel sends Fandango to the corner and uppercuts him before hitting a double underhook suplex for a near fall. Barthel applies a chin lock, but Fandango fights up. Barthel knocks him back to his corner and digs a knee into his face. Aichner tags in, but Fandango fights back at Imperium. Aichner throws Fandango into Barthel for an uppercut to the back of the head for a near fall. Barthel tags in, and Imperium connects with misdirection dropkicks on Fandango.
Fandango fights back at Aichner and hits a tornado DDT. Breeze and Barthel tag in. Breeze hits a flying forearm. Barthel trips him and uppercuts him. Barthel hits the ropes, but Breeze dropkicks him back. Aichner tags in and hits a spinebuster. Barthel then kicks him in the head. Imperium goes for a European Bomb. Fandango dropkicks Aicher to send Breeze into Barthel. Breeze rolls Aichner up for the win.
Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter Def. Jessi Kamea and Xia Li
Xia Li will start against Kayden Carter. Li twists the arm, but Carter twists out and wrenches Li’s arm. Li slaps out, but Carter takes her down with an arm drag. Catanzaro tags in and trips Li while Carter dropkicks her. Catanzaro attacks Li and covers for a two count. Carter tags in and covers Li for a two count. Li fights back and shoulder blocks her down. Kamea tags in, but Carter takes her down with an arm drag. Catanzaro tags in and forearms and kicks Kamea down with Carter for a near fall. Kamea clotheslines Catanzaro and tags Li in. Li bounces Catanzaro in the corner and chops the chest. Li knees away at Catanzaro and kicks her in the midsection for a near fall. Kamea tags in and hits a flying forearm in the corner. Kamea takes Catanzaro down and applies a straightjacket submission. Catanzaro fights out and avoids an avalanche.
Li and Carter tag in. They trade punches before Carter dropkicks her down. Li reverses a whip and goes for a roll-up, but Carter gets out and superkicks her. Kamea runs in and eats a superkick as well. Catanzaro tags in and pump kicks Li into a crucifix by Carter. Catanzaro then gets a jackknife pin on Li for the win.
Drake Maverick & Killian Dein Def. The Undisputed ERA (Roderick Strong and Bobby Fish)
Bobby Fish happily starts against Drake Maverick. Maverick knocks Roderick Strong down, but Fish takes him and slams him down. Strong tags in, and the UE double-teams him down. Strong chops the chest and tells Maverick he made a big mistake. Maverick goes for a slingshot over Strong, but Strong puts the brakes on and clubs him down. Strong chops the chest and kicks Maverick in the midsection. Maverick avoids a running knee in the corner and fights back at Strong. Maverick slingshots over him and charges, but Strong big boots him down. Fish tags in, but Maverick punches him back. Maverick knees Fish in the arm and goes to the second rope for a missile dropkick. Maverick picks up a two count. Maverick swings at Strong, but Strong avoids him. Fish takes Maverick down and knees him. Strong tags in as Maverick fights back at Fish. Strong hits Maverick with a spinebuster. Killian Dain is shown backstage looking disappointed in Maverick. Strong hits a uranage backbreaker for another near fall. Dain is laughing. Strong then applies a modified clutch, but Maverick fights up. Maverick shoulders him, but Strong comes back with a second uranage spinebuster.
Strong viciously takes Maverick down before Fish tags back in. The UE then throws Maverick out of the ring. Killian Dain walks down and grabs Maverick. Dain puts Maverick in the ring and tells him to “lose like a man.” Dain then walks off. The Undisputed ERA is happy. Strong calls Dain “fat.” Dain looks mad and turns around. They throw Maverick at him, but he sidesteps it. Dain takes Fish down and runs over Strong in the ring. Dain angrily punches away at Fish in the corner and grinds at the face. Fish then hits Dain in the midsection with a steel chair. The referee throws the match out.
NXT North American Championship: Damian Priest (c) Def. Timothy Thatcher
They lock up, and Thatcher quickly applies a neck vice. Thatcher hooks the left arm and applies a side headlock. Priest quickly takes him down and hits an arm drag. Thatcher backs up and dusts himself off. They lock up, and Priest hooks a side headlock. Priest rolls him up for a two count. Priest hits another arm drag and applies an arm bar. Thatcher fights up and quickly takes him down with a headlock. Priest fights up and shoulder blocks Thatcher down. Thatcher angrily gets up and uppercuts him. Priest punches him back, but Thatcher head-butts the arm. Thatcher puts him on the apron and uppercuts him to the floor. Thatcher follows him outside, but Priest attacks him. Priest shakes feeling into his arm and goes for a powerbomb on the floor. Thatcher fights it and drives him into the steel steps. Thatcher follows up with a double-arm suplex on the floor.
Thatcher tries for another Fujiwara Armbar, but Priest gets out and stuns him with a kick to the jaw. Priest goes to the top rope for a flying spinning heel kick. Priest gets pumped up and hits the Reckoning for the win.
