Tinder adds custom message features with ‘Swipe Notes’ at a hefty price

Recently dating apps such as Tinder, and Bumble, have seen a surge in the number of how many people use and this is mainly due to the lockdown. Since most of the countries are now under a lockdown or in quarantine, people are not going out anymore.

Reportedly, the UK is in its second week of coronavirus lockdown, and India still has 14 more days for the national lockdown. People are finding various ways to kill boredom, and many people are turning to date apps to kill some time.

As mentioned above, dating apps have seen a surge in users amidst the lockdown even though they cannot go out to physically meet the people until the lockdown ends.

Now, taking this opportunity into account it looks like Tinder is testing a new feature called ‘Swipe Notes’ that lets users message the other people on the app even before they have matched online. Social Media expert Matt Navarra was the first one to spot the feature. He also discovered the fact that Tinder is also working on a new feature called ‘Super Like’ reactions.

Navarra tweeted screenshots of the new features, with the text: “Tinder is testing a new set of ‘Super Like’ Reactions and the ability to add a custom message.” His second tweet revealed that the famous dating app will also introduce the ‘Super Like’ Reactions. His second tweet reads: “Tinder is testing a new set of ‘Super Like’ Reactions and the ability to add a custom message”

Everything comes at a price, and it is true for the online dating app also. The Swipe Notes feature will, of course, let the users send custom notes to potential matches but for a price. One Swipe Note will cost EUR 14.99 and a pack of 10 will cost the user EUR 120.
