New OnePlus logo appeared at the National Trademark Office

Every brand has to have a logo that makes it a household name or makes everyone associate the company’s name by the logo. It is central to marketing strategy, and some of the most famous companies have some iconic logos, the half-eaten apple as the logo for the multi-billion dollar company, Apple, or the logo for the Windows. It is a prerequisite for any company to have its own logo.

One of the most famous smartphone manufacturing company, OnePlus will apparently slightly change its logo. OnePlus Mobile CEO Liu Zouhu announced the brand renewal plan on 16th March 2020. OnePlus’s Shenzhen Wanplas Technology Co., Ltd. applied for a new logo design for the OnePlus brand to the National Trademark Office on November 1, 2019.

An image has surfaced on the National trademark Office that shows the new proposed brand logo for the smartphone manufacturing company. The new logo that the OnePlus company has filed a patent for looks almost identical to the previous one. However, the new logo does indeed endorse some change albeit very subtle. For example, OnePlus changed the color of its logo from red to black. Furthermore, the “1” has changed. Also, the new logo has been under the original OnePlus logo “ONEPLUS”.

OnePlus CEO, Liu Zouhu announced the company’s decision to change the logo on the official community page. It is rather understandable that the company has decided not to make some major changes but rather to keep some of its original design intact and untouched.

The subtle changes nonetheless will appeal to its users. The new visual system will be announced on Wednesday 18th March 2020. However, the details of the renewal content have not been disclosed to the public yet. The new logo design will be made public soon, and the inauguration of a new logo might just inaugurate a new era for OnePlus smartphones.
