  1. Russian hackers may have compromised US agencies. A campaign successfully targeting the Treasury and Commerce departments has been going on for months, according to the Washington Post.

  2. Facebook failed to ban an extremist group in India. Facebook determined that a religious extremist group in India likely should be banned from the platform for promoting violence, but it has yet to take action because of concerns over its staff's safety and political repercussions that could hurt its business.

  3. Huawei developed ethnicity-tracking tools. Huawei has worked with at least four partner companies to develop surveillance technologies that claim to monitor people by ethnicity, The Washington Post reported Saturday.

  4. Twitter blocked retweets on Trump posts. Replies and likes were disabled on several of Trump's tweets Saturday morning before Twitter reversed course hours later, telling Business Insider the change was made "inadvertently."

  5. SoftBank offloaded Boston Dynamics onto Hyundai. The South Korean automaker is buying an 80% stake in Boston Dynamics in a deal that values the robot maker at $1.1 billion.

  6. Bill Gates says the transition is complicating the vaccine rollout. The tech billionaire told CNN's Jake Tapper that the "transition is complicating, but the new administration is willing to rely on actual experts and not attack those experts."

  7. Tim Cook may have personally killed off an Apple TV+ drama. According to The New York Times, Apple TV+ was making a show about the collapse of media outlet Gawker, which outed Cook as gay, until the Apple CEO intervened.

  8. Exclusive: Jeff Bezos is running the day-to-day at Amazon. The plethora of disruptions caused by COVID-19, including supply chain lockdowns and shipment delays, pushed Bezos to become more involved in the here-and-now issues facing the company.

  9. Exclusive: The UK government is monitoring anti-vaccine sentiment on social media. Internal emails seen by Business Insider show the government is aware of the small but significant minority of people expressing anti-vaccine views online as the jab rolls out.
