IPL 2020 : Shah Rukh Khan wants Kolkata Knight Riders to do Trinbago Knight Riders in IPL 2020
After his team won the Caribbean Premier League title, Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan wants his Indian Premier League team Kolkata Knight Riders to do the same in IPL 2020.
SRK’s team won the CPL 2020 title with perfect 10 out of 10 wins and now the Bollywood heartthrob wants KKR to emulate TKR in IPL 2020.
Khan was elated after his CPL franchise Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) chased down a target of 155 for their 12th successive win and clinched their 4th CPL title on Thursday.
Shah Rukh Khan went wild as soon as Darren Bravo hit the winning boundary and came up with a delightful tweet much to the happiness of his fans and Knight Riders team members. ‘Come to IPL,” read a part of his tweet.
“Ami TKR we rule. Awesome display boys…u make us proud, happy and make our party even without a crowd. Love u team. @TKRiders @54simmo and my fav @DMBravo46 well done @KieronPollard55 & my man @DJBravo47 love you how many now4!!! @Bazmccullum come to IPL lov u,” SRK’s tweet read.
Lendl Simmons (84*) and Darren Bravo (58*) stitched an unbeaten 138-run stand to help Trinbago Knight Riders chase down 155 for 8 wickets with 1.5 overs to spare. TKR have made history with their win in the final — they have completed the season without having lost a single match. This victory was TKR’s 12th on the trot with the team finishing on top of the league stage with 10 wins from as many games.
Shah Rukh Khan now wants KKR to emulate TKR in IPL 2020.
KKR is scheduled to play their first game in IPL 2020 on 23rd and king Khan wishes that his IPL team also stays unbeaten in the league.
SRK has also given a new slogan for his IPL team this season. He took to his social media account to share a tweet and urged fans to cheer for KKR. King Khan unveiled the new campaign #TuFanNahiToofanHai for the season.
The Kolkata-side which will be led by Dinesh Karthik will play their first match on September 23 against defending champions Mumbai Indians at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi at 7:30 pm. The IPL match will telecast live on Star Networks and Disney+Hotstar VIP
Meanwhile, the IPL schedule was announced on Sunday and Shah Rukh’s team is going to play their first match against Mumbai Indians on September 23, 2020
