The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) has got a huge boost as England & Australian players have arrived to play in the IPL 2020.

Covered in PPE kits from head to toe, it was difficult to recognize any player as they landed in Dubai.

Rajasthan Royals was the first to tweet picture of the players with a caption ‘pehchan kaun’. The Royals can finally breath easy as the players arrived.

Tom Curran, Steve smith, Jofra Archer, Andrew Tye were the four cricketers who touched base in UAE ahead of IPL 2020. Rajasthan Royals, on Thursday night shared a tweet saying, “Four new arrivals. Can you guess who’s who?

Warner and some other players were seen wearing Personal Protection Kits (PPEs) in view of the COVID-19 pandemic which has forced the BCCI to shift the league out of India this year.

A picture of David Warner and Pat Cummins in full-body PPE kits after landing in Dubai is going viral on social media. 21 players from England and Australia arrived in Dubai for the IPL and will now spend 36 hours self-isolating themselves in their hotel rooms.

The quarantine duration of these players is much less than the 6-day period maintained by players who went to UAE from India because the English and Aussies merely shifted from one bio-bubble in England to another for the IPL.
The players will now have to undergo a mandatory RT-PCR test for the novel coronavirus on their arrival.

IPL 2020: England, Australia players will have to undergo 36 hours quarantine instead of 6 days

All of them went through RT-PCR test for COVID-19 in Dubai and the three Kolkata Knight Riders players — Eoin Morgan, Tom Banton and Pat Cummins — will proceed for Abu Dhabi, where their team is based after 36 hours

Only KKR and defending champions Mumbai Indians are based in Abu Dhabi while the remaining six franchises are in Dubai.

The Abu Dhabi government has so far refused to relax their 14-day quarantine rule regardless of the result of the Covid-19 tests.

The Knight Riders along with Mumbai Indians are the two franchises which are based in Abu Dhabi. While Mumbai Indians did not had any played coming in via chartered flight from Manchester, the Knight Riders have Eoin Morgan, Pat Cummins and Tom Banton.

The Dubai government, however, has agreed to relax the rules and those staying there will now have to undergo 36 hours of quarantine after arrival from the United Kingdom provided the PCR test result is negative. The logic behind such relaxation is that the players are travelling from one bio-security bubble to another.
