Chubb has become the official insurance sponsor of the US Open Tennis Grand Slam under a new, multi-year agreement that begins immediately.The 2020 US Open takes place from Aug. 31-Sept. 13 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y.
During the first year of this long-term partnership, Chubb will focus on the theme of ‘comebacks.’ As a leading property and casualty insurer in the U.S. and around the world, Chubb helps businesses, families and individuals recover and come back from a range of adverse events—from everyday losses at home, on the road or in business to natural catastrophes.
“This sponsorship reinforces our confidence in the nation’s economic vitality and recovery from the impact of the global COVID-19 pandemic,” added Greenberg.

Chubb’s branding will be featured in prominent on-court signage in Arthur Ashe Stadium, Louis Armstrong Stadium and other tournament courts throughout the grounds.

The 2020 US Open will be the first major tennis event to be played since the start of the outbreak. The USTA will be implementing amplified health protocils in an attempt to keep the event from being derailed by further Covid-19 issues. One of it will the that the entire tournament will be played behind closed doors without fans.
The tournament’s sponsorship portfolio is headlined by top-tier deals with payments provider American Express, global airline Emirates and investment bank J.P Morgan.
