IPL 2020 will be a 53 day event and on 10 of the day double headers will be scheduled. On the day when two matches will be played in a day, first game will start at 3.30PM and the second match will be scheduled at 7.30PM.
The Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) is merely 3 weeks away but surprisingly the BCCI is yet to release the official schedule for the 13th edition of the league starting from 19th September. From IPL teams, players, broadcasters, fans – all have one question on their lips when is the IPL 2020 schedule getting released officially ? Why the schedules are getting delayed ?
InsideSport reached out to IPL Chairman Brijesh Patel who is currently in UAE along with his team to check, when is the IPL 2020 schedule getting released ?
“We know it is getting delayed but teams are taking stock of everything including recee of the venues. Stay assured schedules will be released before the end of this week”, declared Brijesh Patel, IPL Governing Council Chairman.
Currently the IPL GC members along with event managers IMG team is in UAE to finalize all that is required for the smooth conduct of the world’s most lucrative cricket league. The BCCI team is schedules to meet local officials and authorities to finalize everything.

Meanwhile, though the schedule is yet to be officially released by the IPL Governing Council, but Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma has spilled the beans by dropping a huge hint about the IPL 2020’s opening match.
Rohit while paying a tribute to his former captain and just retired MS Dhoni has literally revealed that their opponent in the first game will be Chennai Super Kings as he is waiting for Mahi at the toss on 19th September.

As per the schedules released in the month of February, defending champions Mumbai Indians were scheduled to meet Chennai Super Kings in the first game of IPL 2020 in Mumbai.

In the new schedule as well Rohit’s post literally confirms that MI will play CSK in the opening game of IPL 2020. But will the opening game played in Dubai or AbuDhabi that is yet to be decided as per the info available at InsideSport end.
