TBH I'm Bored of Basics—These 20 Affordable Statement Items Have My Attention

From ribbed tanks and vintage denim to T-shirts and leggings, my closet has no shortage of basics. Don't get me wrong: I love each and every one of them. Basics have been particularly practical while I've been working from home these past couple of months, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't ready for a change—a bolder, brighter change. There may not be a beach day or vacation in my near future, but that doesn't mean I want to give up on my summer wardrobe altogether. Not one bit.

As the weeks go on, I'm gravitating more and more toward statement apparel and accessories. While my idea of a statement piece has definitely changed in the current times—it's more about a fun color or print, than a luxurious fabric, for example—this wardrobe category really is keeping the summer spirit alive for me. The picks below are the current items I'm coveting. Oh, and by the way, they're all fairly affordable, with price tags no higher than $155.
