Redmi bracelet is officially released; priced at 99 yuan

At the 10th Anniversary of Rice Noodle Festival held on 3rd March, Xiaomi announced its two new smart TVs, the Xiaomi TV 4A 60-inch and the Xiaomi full-screen TV Pro 75-inch. Apart from introducing these two new smart TVs, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer also introduced its sub-brand, Redmi’s first wearable device – Redmi bracelet.

The bracelet makes use of 1.08-inches of the square, and the screen comes not only in black but also in other colors such as blue, red, and brown. The hype behind the Redmi bracelet lies in the fact that it uses the quick-plug direct charging solution. The charging solution can be plugged into the USB-A port for charging.

Redmi bracelet comes with a few over-the-counter health services integrated into the watch. As is the case with the hype behind fitness bands, everyone is looking for ways to monitor their progress digitally. The Redmi bracelet comes handy in this particular arena also. The bracelet supports heart rate monitoring, sleep monitoring, sedentary reminder and other functions that other conventional smart bracelets come with.

The Redmi bracelet seems most suitable for personal needs such as heart rate monitoring and other stuff. However, this bracelet falls short of meeting other criteria in other aspects that do not necessarily pertain to personal use. For example, if someone’s needs were to keep track of their progress more professionally, the Redmi bracelet cannot function properly in that area of expertise.

The official price of the Redmi bracelet is 99 yuan. However, at the rice noodle festival, the bracelet comes with a crowdfunding price. The crowdfunding price is 95 yuan. The bracelet will go on sale through the Xiaomi mall at 10:00 on April 9th, 2020. As for the global release, Xiaomi is yet to mention the dates. This bracelet will be launched globally.
