Realme, Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi, OnePlus offers to extend warranty period amidst the corona pandemic

The coronavirus pandemic will have lasting effects on industries around. The smartphone industry particularly has seen a significant decline in global shipments. Some of the manufacturing hubs have been locked down and launch events have been delayed.

But this does not mean that everything has come to a standstill in the smartphone market. Now that we have enough technological resources at our disposal, several Chinese companies have gone forward with its product launch activities online. Companies such as Huawei, Xiaomi, Realme, and others had hosted online launch events.

This pandemic has shown global solidarity from different companies and has done whatever they could to help tackle this pandemic. Several companies such as Xiaomi and Vivo are donating N95 masks and doing their part.

Most smartphone manufacturers are going the extra mile to help their customers during this lockdown. Xiaomi is providing email, chat and social media support to aid customers that have issues with their devices. OnePlus and Realme recently offered to extend the warranty period of their products.

Realme India has extended the warranty on all its products expiring between March 20 and April 30. The products with an expiry date between this timeline will receive an extension till May 31. Moreover, the replacement period for some of the devices has also been extended.

OnePlus has extended the warranty period until May 31 for products with an expiry date between March 1 to May 30. The return and replacement period for the OnePlus products have also been extended to 30 days.

Oppo has also committed to extending the warranty on all its smartphones and accessories till May 31.

Last but not the least, Vivo India is also extending the warranty period for products with an expiry date between 1st March 2020 to 31st May 2020, to 90 days. The replacement period for the products expiring between 15th March 2020 to 30th May 2020, will be extended till 31st May 2020.
