Surface Laptop 3 and Surface Pro 7 pose threat to users!

If you wish to own Surface Laptop 3 or Surface Pro 7 then you need to rethink it. Microsoft has come out with the latest updates for these two laptops and the results are not quite stress-free.

Well, the reports say that this new update is likely to pose threats to the users. It has a “plundervolt” vulnerability patch that lets attackers undervolted the CPU and thereby introduce an exploit.

The result of this news is very distressing. The users are quite affected by this news. Some of them are claiming that this update is a ‘dealbreaker’ as “temperatures are sky-high” and s/he “can no longer retain decent clock speeds.” They even want to downgrade firmware in Surface laptops.

Surface users are pretty clueless about this situation and they are banging their heads to get a solution to get out of this chaos. Some of them have even proposed to return their units. A few users have tried to delve deeper into the problem to find out the cause but have all ended up blaming Microsoft.

Under the current circumstances, if you are one of the Surface users, then you have understood the threat very well. So you either fix your laptop or fix a date to get another laptop. Whatever is your choice, stay safe from the threats of undervolting.
