Sony to launch new Bravia W6 series smart TVs in India


Sony India announced on Twitter that it will soon launch its Bravia W6 series of smart TVs in India. The tweet was followed by a short video introducing the new smart TV.

The video reveals that the upcoming smart TV in India from the Sony Bravia W6 series will be offered in Black. However, the bezel of the TV appeared to be thick unlike most smart TVs now.

It should be noted that the W6 series was introduced in 2014, and compared to the design of those TVs, we can safely say that the design has changed very little. As for the specs, we have to wait for Sony to release official statements regarding the specs of this upcoming Bravia W6 smart TVs in India.

The TVs under the W6 series that were launched in 2014 were LED TVs that came equipped with X-Reality Pro. This feature makes way for clearer pictures than most TVs. Furthermore, the TV comes with a Full HD 1080P, this coupled with the X-Reality Pro brings out the little details in the pictures.

As for the sound quality, it comes equipped with Bass Reflex speakers, and clearAudio+.

The TVs under the W6 series start on really quickly, and very easy to navigate. The One-Flick Entertainment feature which allows its users to rapidly browse through its contents to help them find the one that they are looking for really fast.

The LED TV also came with the Sony Entertainment Network, an internet-based service that gave the users access to many contents online such as Music Unlimited, Video Unlimited, Play Memories as well as other services such as YouTube, Facebook, Netflix, Amazon Prime and much more.

The Live Football Mode has the ability to make the sound appear lifelike.

Whereas these were some of the main features of the W6 series in 2014, Sony’s decision to make this TV surface again in 2020 may result in the addition of more features while sustaining the previous main features.
