What’s in 2020’s calendar – The most anticipated video games
Wouldn’t it be great if we got 2020’s best video games as Christmas presents last year?
Imagine what it would be like for us to enter the new year without any anticipation for what was in store for us. It would probably be hard to do anything else I guess. So probably, everything happens for the best.
As the next generation of video game consoles is about to hit the market, the gaming industry is getting ready to give it’s users their swan song this year.
But, here’s the deal.
We may be expecting jaw-dropping graphics and compelling user’s experiences, only because 2019 has been phenomenal for the industry. It wasn’t long ago that Respawn left us in awe with their surprise, Apex Legends and fans were left mesmerized with a David Lynch-inspired cerebral world.
Does all that sound familiar?
To be honest, there have been many developments last year and so there is so much to look forward to this year.
But here’s the thing. We all have more than one thing to be excited about.
Any guesses?
Well, 2020 also marks the end of major home consoles. And so, you can expect an era of new games with different features. We can already look forward to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X is launching this year. And if that’s not enough there will always be a new video game to steal the spotlight.
Wouldn’t it be great if you already knew the games you want to stock up on this year?
We thought so too. So here is a definitive list of all the crazy video games you can’t miss out on in 2020.
Final Fantasy VII Remake
Ever noticed how this game took forever to come out or is it just me?
Many gamers started to worry that it would always remain a dream. But the good news is, it’s finally back from Davy Jones’ Locker. FFVII is set to hit the market by March 3 and will only be available for the PlayStation.
There was a lot of anticipation after some sneak peeks at the Game Awards. And bang! You’ve been hit with an action-driven format ditching the conventional turn-based format of the game from 1997.
But, what makes this so special?
A joy ride with slick visuals, this new version will allow you to participate in turn-based combat but also will give you the option to switch to a classic mode anything to want.
Do you know what I think?
This game will be like a blast from the past, but with no more stiff encounters and full of pyrotechnics and fast action.
The Last of Us 2
Staying true to its character this sequel is everything that we experienced in The Last Of Us, but with everything being much better. More power, more darkness and more brutal meditation on violence.
Needless to say that the first game had one of the best game endings out there. And with all the buzz from trailers and event showcases, one can never know what follows. So what’s the catch really?
Maybe there are more secrets for gamers to discover in the beautiful yet painful world. We can now expect the main protagonist of the game to be young Ellie instead of Joel as in the last game.
But one thing is for sure… We can’t really wait till March 29 to get on one hell of a ride with The Last Of Us 2.
Annual crossings: New horizons
Who doesn’t love to put on their unicorn horn and enjoy a day off at the beach?
We’ve all done it and there is absolutely nothing to feel ashamed about really. This Nintendo mainline installment is set to hit the markets on March 20. Annual Crossings fans have been dying to get their hands on a better version of the New Leaf.
And what can we expect this year?
The game finally cruises through a deserted island instead of an urban setting. But that’s just not the end of it. There is so much more than you can do with your avatar, more customizations, changing seasons and an option where you can actually create a real-life region to play in.
No pressure there though! Do what you like and play at your own pace.
Cyberpunk 2077
If you are a sci-fi game fan at this point, you probably feel that there isn’t anything much happening around. But things are definitely going to change for your lot on April 16.
I honestly couldn’t believe my eyes when I read that the makers of ‘The Witchers’ series are about to make a comeback with this game.
Honestly speaking, though the cyberpunk trends have more or less died down in the past few years. And what kind of gameplay can we expect now that the release date has been announced?
Any guesses?
Maybe just one?
Well, this game is about to exclude loading screens completely and for the first time in massive open worlds. Meaning you can enjoy uninterrupted immersions at its best.
And apparently, you also get a visit from Keanu Reeves playing Johnny Silverhand from the tabletop game Cyberpunk 2020.
Can there be anything more breathtaking?
Iron Man VR
Well, this may sound a bit of a cliche but, hell why not? Haven’t you all missed VR games more than anything? With the PlayStation VR giving gamers real-life gaming experiences, I think we need more virtual reality games to tread into this unfamiliar territory.
For the first time, you may think it’s not what you want to play, but I haven’t really come across someone who’d let go the chance of donning Starks legendary armor and flying out to save the world.
On Feb 28, PlayStation users can experience this first hand and enjoy their very own suit.
When you see so much happening around, that’s when it hits you… the gaming industry has evolved consistently in the past few years. These games are not even the tip of an iceberg. This year’s calendar is full of remakes, sequels, new launches, and more TBA games.
Here’s hoping you find the best of the lot for yourself real soon!
