Chennai Super Kings’ Imran Tahir atop the wicket-taker chart by taking the 26 wickets in the 12th edition of the IPL, in the 17 innings of IPL 2019, the purple cap holder managed to take 4 wickets haul 2 times so far. On April 14, in a match against KKR he took his first 4 wickets haul of this season and in CSK vs DC match on May 1, he took the second 4 wickets haul.
Delhi Capitals‘ Kagiso Rabada signed off this season of IPL as the leading contender of the Purple Cap, as a precautionary measure ahead of the ICC World Cup. He had taken 25 wickets in 12 matches for Delhi Capitals this IPL season so far. The 23-year-old Rabada had also taken the 4 wickets haul 2 times in this season of VIVO IPL. CSK’s Deepak Chahar and Rajasthan Royal’s Shreyas Goyal comes the next in top 5 highest wicket-taker list.
