BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo diesel variant launched in India 23 Jun 2018

After introducing the petrol version, BMW India has now launched the 6 Series (630d) Gran Turismo (GT) diesel variant in India. Available in two trims, BMW 630 Series GT is offered in Luxury Line and M-Sport variants, which are priced at Rs. 66.50 lakh and Rs. 73.70 lakh respectively. Produced locally, the coupe-styled BMW 630d is now available at all BMW dealerships across India.

BMW 6 Series GT Luxury Line: At a glance Exteriors & Interiors

On the outside, the BMW 6-Series GT Luxury Line features a long bonnet, frameless doors, low roofline, automatic tailgate, active rear-spoiler and chrome styling in the kidney grille, front bumper, rear apron, and tailpipe. Inside, the Luxury Line gets a two-part panorama glass roof, electrically-operated adjustable rear seats, electrically operated rear-window sunblinds, ambient cabin lighting and fine wood interior trim with pearl chrome highlights.

What's the BMW 6 Series GT M sport variant offering? Details

Visually, the BMW 6 Series GT M Sport variant exudes its sporty character, thanks to the M Aerodynamics package which comprises black fins for Air Breathers, specially-designed side skirts and rear apron, large front air intakes and M Sport branded details. In the cabin, the M Sport gets Nappa Leather upholstery, electrically-adjustable driver and front passenger seats, memory-function, and enhanced thigh-support.

Under the hood FACT

The BMW 630d GT comes with a 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder diesel engine which generates an output of 265hp and peak torque of 620Nm at 2,000-2,500rpm. The engine comes mated to an 8-speed Steptronic Sport Automatic Transmission which accelerates the car from 0-100kmph in 6.1 seconds.

The car also comes with best-in-class Remote Control Parking function Game changer

The 6 Series GT also gets Remote Control Parking Function with which a driver can "maneuver the vehicle into a narrow parking space from outside using the BMW Display Key", according to BMW. The smart key also displays other vehicle-related information, service reminders, cabin temperature, mileage range and fuel level. The car also gets Park Distance Control (PDC) and Parking Assistant with Surround View.

Other standard features of BMW 6 Series GT Fully loaded

The BMW 6 Series GT comes equipped with 10.25-inch touchscreen BMW iDrive multifunctional instrument display, BMW Navigation Professional, Apple Car Play and Harman-Kardon Surround Sound System. For rear passengers, the car gets an entertainment system which includes two 10.2-inch color screens mounted behind the front-seat backrests, a BluRay player, HDMI connection for mobiles along with connections for MP3 players and game consoles.
